Windsor, Connecticut World War II and Korea Memorial

 

History and Location

Located on the grounds of Poquonock School, 1760 Poquonock Ave, Windsor, CT 06095. Poquonock School is a K-2 school. The monument was originally dedicated in 1954 to recognize the men from the Poquonock section of Windsor who lost their lives in World War II and the Korean Conflict.  The plaque on the backside was located in the building and dedicated in the original building in 1954. The plaque was mounted on this stone and rededicated on July 22, 2004. It is known as the Poquonock and Northern Windsor War Memorial.
